Cafe Miyake Shoten Kurashiki

Hi there. It’s Mr. Wada back on duty. I would like to share our visit to Miyake Shoten Cafe Kobo this time.

Cafe Miyake Shoten Kurashiki

If you remember Riverside Cafe Miyake Shoten Sakazu, yes it is another location of the same cafe but right in the middle of Kurashiki’s most popular sightseeing spot, Bikan historical quarter. Walk through the main street with the canal to the area where more souvenir store stand. Miyake Shoten is located right there.

Looks cool huh? Apparently this house was built in the Edo era (more than 200 years ago!). Step through the door and it feels like we just time slipped to the Samurai era!

We got this window seat. Cool Japanese garden.

Shaved ice is perfect for summer! It brought me back after being drained by heat. I suppose this place has aircon unlikely the other one in Sakazu. (Well, how can we survive without it in summer anyway….)

How do you find it? Since it is located in a busy area, you may need to wait a bit during the weekends. But it is definitely worth a visit! Such a great place for getting a chill after exploring the Bikan area.

See you around!
