大豊柿に花芽がついた flower buds on Taiho persimmon tree

2年前に植え付けた大豊柿に花芽がついている。桃栗三年柿八年とはいったものだが、思ったより早くついたので驚き。まあ、苗木だったのでそんなものか。なにはともあれ楽しみだ。

Been two years since I transplanted this persimmon tree and now it’s got flower buds. It is said that it takes three years to fruit on peach and chestnut trees and eight years to fruit on persimmon trees though that’s probably from seeds? It was a fine plant already. Anyways I am looking forward to it.
