台風襲来に向けて人参・大根用の畝を準備 Weeding for root crops

ここは秋冬人参の畝で、梅雨明け前に種まきして上手くいったはずだった。が、その直後あの灼熱の太陽に晒されて溶けてなくなってしまった。。。

正直今年は人参もういいかなー思ったけど、来週あたり台風(雨)が来るようなので、いっちょやってみっかーと奮起。半分人参、半分大根にしようかな。

とりあえずこの2ヶ月でボーボーに生えた雑草の処理を開始。。。。。。

It was a carrot bed. I sowed carrot seeds for autumn and winter in July before rainy season ended so timing wise it was perfect but the burning summer began soon after that melted all carrots right away. I didn’t feel like doing carrot this year again but knowing that a typhoon will hit next week. It may be another and the last chance. I decided to give a shot. Perhaps a half bed will be carrots and the other half will be daikon.

So now I have to weed this bed. It’s become quite a mess after two months. Oh boy…..
