2023: Growing Chayote

October 19, 2023:

Spotted baby chayote forming from chayote plant in mid garden next to the shack. Seems it will take about 20 days to harvest one after blooming.

2nd Week of December:

Chayote plants suffered heavily from frost and unfortunately died out while all chayote are still small. I was able to harvest small, immature chayote but probably won’t be able to use as seed for next year.
