2024 August: Garden updates

Late-sown bitter gourd and cucumber plants are starting to climb up the trellis. Cucumber plants in particular are sufferring from the hot weather. I see some with top got burned out. In addition, I spotted many cucurbit leaf beetles around cucumber plants attacking the leaves.

I removed the tiny cucumbers located closed to base and some suckers to let it focus on growth first.

Also spotted 2nd round of sasage (long string beans) already sprouting out.

On the other hand, starting to set up simple drip irrigation in tomato and sweet corn beds.
