June 2024: Garden Update

This month we harvested mainly onions and potatoes.This year, onions are mostly small and overall the harvest wasn’t great. Probably the hot days in spring is the main reason, soil was pretty dry during the most important growing period for onions. I’m planning to re-plant the small onions in autumn for winter harvest.

On the other hand, we have been harvesting potatoes slowly from early of this month and started consuming. Now harvesting the rest of it but we just found out many are already rotting. The ground was wet and muddy.
