7 Things to Do in Takahashi City, Okayama

Sasaune Coal Shaft
It’s just a few hundred meters away from Fukiya Furusato Village. This coal shaft was used between the Edo era to the Taisho era and now open to visitors. Even on hot summer days the temperature in this coal shaft remains around 10 degrees ALL YEAR AROUND. So it feels cool in summer and warm in winter.
Admission fee is 300 yen for adults.
