Homemade Challenge #2: Ume Yeast Water
After making ume syrup, I re-used the fruit to make an ume yeast water. Ingredients are simple; ume, water and a spoonful of sugar.
First week, didn’t see any change at all.
On the second week, finally starting to see some bubbles.
And only after another day, it is now this active!
Three days later, I removed the ume and there you have it, an ume yeast water.
Will this really work? That would be the next challenge, I’ll try to make bread using this ume yeast water!
