Year 1 – December Week 4: Rapeseed flowers

This week’s main activity was planting fruit trees. We ordered some tree seedlings last November and finally arrived this week.

The seller included an instruction on how to plant the seedlings and we tried to follow it (partially?).

Dug 50-cm-deep hole in the ground and returned half of the dug soil (mixed with compost and fertilizer)

Pear seedling. Thick roots are cut off short.

Done! Later on I placed mulch at the bottom of the seedling to protect from cold weather

It’s quite cold and windy on this day but it’s nice to see the rapeseed flowers blooming.
