About Sukiyaki
It is a traditional cuisine, most of time eaten at home. Hey, there is a famous Sukiyaki restaurant called Ningyocho Imahan (人形町今半), in Tokyo. Not cheap but it may be worth having a real Japanese food once in life.

Though I could make it with foods in fridge! I’ll show you how I do it!
Easy Japanese Recipes : Easy Sukiyaki (すき焼き)
Ingredients
– meat (preferably beef)
– onions
– konyaku/Shirataki noodles
– enoki mushrooms
– hakusai (Chinese cabbage)
– some eggs
Warishita (Sauce)
– 100ml of soy sauce
– 100ml of mirin
– 3 tbsps of sugar
– 1 pack of kombu or dashi powder
Did you know?
There is a difference between Sukiyaki in Eastern Japan and Western Japan.
In Eastern Japan, people grill ingredients first and add sauce. On the other hand, in Western Japan people grill beef, then cook the rest of the ingredients with the sauce.
Well, I will do The Wadas-style this time (I only mean an easy way).
Let’s get started!
Boil Warishita in a pot.
Throw all chopped ingredients in (except eggs)!
Turn the heat down, and cook slowly (10-20 minutes). Don’t forget to scoop dirt up from veggies. Add eggs and cook a bit more and done already!
Lastly
How do you find it? Not so difficult right? Please try this very classic Japanese recipe at your home and let me hear how it goes.
See you around!
Like the song! The food looks good too. Those are buckwheat noodles? Yummers!
That’s made from Konnyaku potato (perhaps similar to taro). Goody.
Hm! Sounds good.
