Arita Ceramics Fair in Saga
If you are familiar with pottery, Arita is known for its pottery called Aritayaki (just like Bizenyaki in Okayama). There is a festival happening every year between the April 29th and the May 5th in Arita town in Saga Prefecture. Around a million people visit during the festival! Population of Arita town is around 27,000. Schedule seems ideal for the golden week holiday for Japanese residents.
Some roads get closed for the event.
The pottery mountain!
Streets are full of pottery stores!
Checking out great deals.
Break time with local food.
