You may have seen it on TV or web. It is a part of Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto which is like the headquarter of all Inari shrines in Japan. Due to its scenery of massive numbers of Torii gates, it has been popular especially by foreign tourists. Apparently, there are more than 1,000 gates and still increasing.

Step through the first gate and there you are. You are into the magic of Kyoto already!
There’s a Omokaruishi stone at the end of Senbon Torii. Try lift this up and if the stone is lighter than you thought it would be, your wish would come true.
Get Your Own Torii!
Did you know that these Torii gates are all donated by including private businesses or individuals. So you could do it also as long as you pay the price. This shows the price list and what size of Torii you can get. Interesting huh?
