Bizenyaki Matsuri: Bizen Pottery Festival (Bizen City)
Bizen City is known for Bizenyaki pottery. During this annual festival, many potters (ceramic artists) in Bizen City open their places and offer great deals. I have been to this area on a regular weekend, so I was more surprised to see that there are so many of them! (where are they hiding?)
Main entrance is right across from JR Inbe Station. Inbe is like center of Bizen City (there’s no Bizen Station, by the way).
500 yen for each cup! Alright, let’s see…
Bizenyaki Street is full of people!
Walking along the canal. Relaxing. I found this quite neat. Cafe Coharuni is nearby as well.
Smoke rising from the chimney.
Encountered this dance performance. I suppose they are the same dancers we saw at the Hinameguri event (it is the next train station). Coolio.
Alright, let’s call it a day.
